I want to rant a bit since I'm making a post haha. This week has been kinda odd for me.
On one hand I've been feeling amazing because I got accepted into a very convention that I absolutely love. It really motivated and cheered me up, because the past many years this convention has been very hard to get to.
But on the other hand, after doing some calculations on travel expenses and all that, I really fear I might go on a loss ;;;
Had this been last year, when things were a bit more bright and I could afford to risk and travel to a convention away from home, even if it meant potentially losing money, I would've done it just for the experience itself... But this year Webtoon has been extremely unreliable...
The way Webtoon pays us for all the effort to create those stories is honestly laughable, and it seems to be a trend. They will continue to pay us nothing for sure.
Not to mention that the new Webtoon UI has really screwed a lot of creators over. Somehow we're all getting less and less views by the month, despite our series stories going strong. This wasn't an issue back in summer.
QC was doing extremely well actually, but since those changes, I fear that they did something about update notifications, or canvas series get less and less promoted. I'm not entirely sure..ah. My head hurts whenever I try to think too much about what they are doing to this platform...
Because of this, the whole week I've been really conflicted about this situation. I'm extremely glad that I got accepted, I feel very lucky and grateful, but at the same time, I feel that I need to be responsible financially. It's a very difficult choice to make. I have 10 more days to pay for the booth invoice and make a final choice by then haha.
But most importantly, though. Thank you so much for supporting me! Thank you for showing your love for my characters, my story and my work! Without you this whole journey wouldn't be possible 💗 I am endlessly grateful to each one of you and I will do my best in 2026 to create the best Quality Content that I can~✨
