I am incredibly impressed with Nick Seluk (Heart and Brain) for pulling off a convention of considerably high quality! Staff were very attentive and it was a pleasure to meet and talk with so many other artists near Detroit this weekend.
Reza of Poorly Drawn Lines is probably the coolest dude ever. Julia of Up and Out is fascinatingly deep! I also got to meet Beetle Moses (Harris Fishman) who could totally replace me. Follow him for irreverent, absurd comics that may be the PBF 2.0.
I got to finally meet Kim Winder of Reddot fame, J.L. Westover (!), Dave of Cyanide and Happiness, Sarah Scribbles, and so many more! It was downright dreamy.
I couldn’t have had such a good time without the terrific help of my nephews. They are diligent gentlemen who help me balance the social and mathematical demands of selling merchandise from a small table in a crowded room. They assure me they enjoy it despite the long hours and low pay. I believe them because it was fun for me too.
