DESCRIPTION
Today I got lost on a campus and came upon its fine, fine art museum, spending a few hours in their 20th century section. Thus inspired, I returned to a painting done a few months back.
Contrast is the thing. The background color was originally red, in an effort to get velvet curtains. But to me that clashed. Since the foreground is pure stuff and nonsense, I've decided the background should be sober; the dullest, most mundane blue. Ultramarine and gray. Sure enough, it makes the characters pop, and grounds the motif!
