Well, HHHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLlOOOOOOO everyone! Starting today, I am officially coming out of hibernation. I had an amazing time existing in a state of almost complete pointlessness.

Let me dump a ton of text on you so you have something to read before bed, as a perfect sleeping pill.

About games:

I’ll say it right away — for most of this month, I just played games. Purely, aimlessly, and beautifully. I played the Diablo 4 expansion and also took part in a fantastic social experiment called ARC Raiders. The game actively divides players into fluffy friendly “don’t shoot” guys and the absolute antisocial degenerates imaginable who when killed explode like a Boomer from Left 4 Dead and flood voice chat with toxic waste.

And of course as a PvP enjoyer, I was among the second group.

But the funniest thing is that the biggest mental damage I received wasn’t from pig-like screaming in voice chat. It was from one guy who after I killed him, said he didn’t want to fight apologized for scaring me told me to take his loot and wished me a good day.  He didn’t want to fight with me and his voice was absolutely peaceful.  After that I felt like I had killed Jesus.  But he forgave me for it... 

Damage to my conscience: registered.

After I was done with ARC, I moved on to Mechanicus II. There was a desire to devote oneself to pragmatic calculations in the name of Omnissiah

About working on social networks.

But I wasn’t only playing games, so let me briefly explain what I was doing. And I’ll also tell you what I’m going to do next.

At the beginning of the month I talked about returning from vacation in the mountains and how one of my main (basically THE main) cloud storage got permanently deleted. Nobody really bothered to warn me or anything, but I’m already used to it because this is my third Mega ban. So now we’re Dropbox fans — hopefully it works well for you guys.

I’m still dealing with the aftermath of losing that Mega storage. I’m still uploading backups to other cloud services. I’ve accumulated a lot of data over the years.

I also made changes to my Discord server. I changed quite a lot of things. I don’t think you’d be interested in all the details, but I did a pretty good job. Now the server at least looks like a proper server instead of a trash heap. I also worked on my website. Now it is possible to get acquainted with the animation on it.

And during all this time, I didn’t launch Blender a single time. Until last Saturday. In all these years, I probably haven’t had a moment where I haven’t started Blender for more than 2-3 days.

My thoughts on the next animation.

The main question in your heads is:

DEZ, what’s next? You wanted to say who the hero of the next animation would be by the end of your vacation.

Yeaaaaap, that was the plan. The plan was that as soon as I felt spark in my soul, I would dive right back into my work and start choosing the hero of the animation.

You could say I felt it.

I missed creating animations.

I’m charged up and ready.

Starting from the 20th, I began thinking about what I wanted to animate.

The frying pan is on the fire. There’s oil in it. But when I opened SmutBase to look for new 3D ANIME models, I realized there weren’t actually that many ingredients...

And that’s when I got hit with a feeling of uncertainty.

So I started looking at ingredients on other shelves too — non-anime ones.

I have 5 candidates for an anime animation. Funny enough, all of the models are from the same creator, and I had already seen them before. I haven’t studied them in depth yet. I just quickly looked through them and picked them out. I’ll examine them more closely during the week.

Among them is the Ayase Seiko model from Dandadan, which I’ve already used for making posters. And I can say that all the selected models are interesting to me. Right now, the main question is their functionality and visuals — I need to check all of that in detail.

There’s also my own 3D model that I started making once but never finished. There’s still a lot of work left on this model. I didn’t want to talk about it because I didn’t know whether I’d actually finish it or not. She’s from JJK.

There are no JJK characters among the other models.

I also came across a couple of interesting models from games and cartoons. Which ones? I’m not telling you, because I am a master at avoiding specifics. YOUU Dissolve into painful uncertainty. BUT, with all my love for you.

So what am I even getting at with all this?

The point is that I don’t fucking understand what I want.

I want a lot of things, and because of that, I still can’t choose one specific direction.

Although yesterday, insomnia visited me. The old-timers know that insomnia is exactly the time when some of my pretty decent ideas are born. And yesterday, I came up with a pretty interesting idea for an animation with an anime character.(from this list character)

But I also have the desire to finish or at least try to finish my own 3D model. Because the character of that model is an ideal candidate for my type of animation.

But making a good 3D model on the first try... I’m not sure I can do that quickly.

So I chose the following tactic for myself.

SUPER plan:

I’ll check the selected models and try to come up with some cool and interesting stories for them.

Oh, fine, to hell with it. I’ll show you the anime characters that have been preliminarily selected. Author of models Aequdsama.

Here they are the girl group from left to right:

Ayase Seiko, Mitsuri Kanroji, Shinobu Kocho, Nami and Nico Robin

There is also Oshino, but it seems to be too local a hero. I liked this character from the first episode of the anime when I saw it. If we take the adult version. But I don't think I'll consider it for animation.

I’ll work through the animation idea that came to me yesterday and try to feel how dominant it will be compared to the other ideas.

I’ll also try to work on my own 3D model.

For one week or two hard work on her. Just to see how well the progress on creating this model goes. Because I would really like to make an animation with this heroine. That’s actually why I decided to make her 3D model in the first place. If I understand that things are moving actively and everything is going great, I might bring her all the way to release.

BUT there’s also one BUT! While I’m doing all of this, more animation candidates might possibly appear.

If I don’t feel any chemistry with the anime characters while evaluating them, if the idea that visited me yesterday doesn’t last long, and if my 3D model isn’t being created as efficiently as I’d like, then I think 2 cartoon characters and a couple of muscular women from games may appear as candidates.

I don't show them because I don't want to create unrealistic expectations. And if the anime characters shown above are considered by me seriously, then these heroes are still beyond my seriousness.

How the next animation will be selected.

Will there be a vote, or will I choose the character myself?

If there is complete uncertainty, I’ll hold a big vote among a large number of characters I’m interested in.

There’s also a chance that I’ll secretly choose the hero of the animation. I’ll tell you in advance that I’ve chosen someone, but I won’t say who exactly. And I’ll make a small video intro where I present this animation.

Another reason why I allow myself to consider additional non-anime characters is that they look quite stylized, not like pure 3D. That will give me the opportunity, either way, to play around with an interesting animation style.

Probably everything I wanted to say has now been said. So that’s the plan.

No specifics whatsoever, which, as always, is very much my style.

That’s the kind of text slop you got from me. But I hope I managed to convey my current state a little. I’m coming out of radio silence mode.

There’s a lot of gunpowder stored up inside me, but right now I still don’t understand what target I’m supposed to shoot at. And as soon as I figure that out I think I’ll fire a big shot — and the flames from my frying pan will be visible from space.
