As for the results of the poll: I reviewed the numbers before we read the documents and signed the paperwork. Shout out to the person who JOINED OUR PATREON JUST TO VOTE NO. A level of spite for ads I admire and salute.
We have officially accepted the offer after confirming they agree to our stipulation that our patrons could help write the advertisement. Rather than watch you all fumble trying to write a whole advertisement by yourselves, I have put a link to an idea document in the announcement channel in the discord. It will not be shared in a post here. Go read the instructions and add your ideas to the document.
I feel like this being our stance on accepting any ad read in the future should win over a few of the angrier patrons. In addition to the ad being one I don't feel vile for accepting, as always. There's a reason we're only debating SM2 and not the other 12+ I got this week. It's not like this will happen often. I suspect the only ones you have to fear us taking are either relevant brands we trust are above board or maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe one that you all beg us to do because of the meme potential, that's a stretch though.
God help this poor company who trusted you lot to write an advertisement. I can't believe they agreed to our demand.
