DESCRIPTION

Altered eventscene to use a callback system to run through events rather than an aggressive update check, vastly reducing potential for bugs and overlap.

Events now queue and no longer attempt to run out of turn under any circumstances.

Updated old code to modern standards and replaced as much redundant code as possible with functions, etc.

This week, I primarily just worked on one thing, which was the event scene. That's the scene which displays all in-battle events like combat, dialogue, digestion, etc. along with controlling many attack and skill effects. Up till now, events have been implemented as they're needed and barely updated unless they break, so I've needed to go through and make everything consistent and modular. Trying to work together code from so many different stages in VT's development has felt a bit like defusing a bomb, but this was a big hurdle down.

This week it's onto turn logic, which will most likely be the most difficult and time-consuming part of this new battle system. I can't say how long it will take yet, but I'll keep you updated as I work! And of course, as always, thank you so much for your support!
