DESCRIPTION

One thing I’ve been practicing lately is creating animations while keeping my own art style.

In the past, I used Live2D to make morphing animations and applied them to some of my games. They worked pretty well, but there were limits when it came to bigger movements. Recently, I figured out a way to convert an image into a 3D model, then apply morphing and paint the facial textures on top of it.

Of course, it still looks quite awkward with large movements, but it works well for simple idle animations. Best of all, I can adjust the lighting and shaders, so it matches my original art style almost perfectly!

I’m currently researching how to apply this technique to my next game.
