Refund process + Other info

Refund progress:

So, it looks like I'll have to deposit money into my account to process refunds (pledge to myself). I processed about $1000 in refunds to annual subscribers so far, and there are about $1000 more to go. And there are around $2000 more for monthly subscribers. This will take weeks, so sit tight.

I'll have to occasionally unpause billing so I can pledge to myself, so don't be alarmed if you see that. I'll pause it again immediately afterward to prevent charges.

I got a surprising number of comments asking for my other penname. I didn't include it in my past posts since I only wanted to give the reason I was moving away from fanfics. That, and the novels are very different from my fanfics.

I write in a genre called progression fantasy. If you have heard about a site called Royal Road, then you know what I'm talking about.

To be more specific, I write something called LitRPG. If you've read gamer fics in HP fanfic, it's similar. The first series I published on Amazon is xianxia/litrpg (Eastern Fantasy with gamer elements). The second series I'm posting chapter by chapter on Royal Road is Regular Fantasy/litrpg.

If you're still interested in knowing my other penname, I'll answer through DMs (I'll check them in a few days).

I'm being cagey, but Amazon's algorithm is finicky. If too many people who read romance or sci-fi check out my novel right after its release date, it could cause issues in the categories it's placed in.

This is a guess since nobody knows for sure. Still, after speaking with publishers and other authors, I even hid my novels from my family because I knew they didn't read the genre lol.
