The Witch Doctor of the Lihzahrds, Jaimundi, is preparing a potion that will have the biggest results- and let him muscle in his name on history. Enjoy!
************
For all recorded history, the Lihzahrds would choose one of their number each generation to receive all the knowledge their people knew of the magical energies found in nature, to serve the temple and tribe with their growing power. This individual would spend years training under a master to learn the craft, and took on the title of Witch Doctor.
The Lihzahrds' current Witch Doctor, an accomplished, proud, but generous young male named Jaimundi, had prepared many potions and tinctures, using the potent cures found in the rich forests to heal anyone who came to him, even those outside the tribe. The Witch Doctor took it as a point of professional pride— the magicks he learned ought to be shared with the world, after all. But now that he was a fully fledged Witch Doctor and had mastered his craft, he was out to create something new. In all the scrolls and ancient texts he studied given to his master, he had one take-away: good Witch Doctors mastered the ancient texts and methods and respected tradition; the great ones, however, added something new. As far as he could tell, only the great ones would be remembered— and he meant to be the greatest.
Jaimundi had studied the ways of his people's holy warriors, and the tinctures they sometimes used to enhance their strength. If the potions used for that could also be paired with the permanence of healing potions, then the Witch Doctor could prepare something that could turn the Lihzahrd warriors into the best in the known world— it could be used to re-invigor the old, embolden the weak, heal the terminally ill; a miracle in a bottle. He had carefully measured both potions for the desired results, gone through dozens of trials that had almost burnt down his home, but he knew in his gut this was going to be the one that would make him the biggest Witch Doctor in the history of his people— but as the single drop of the warrior venom fell into the crystal water, he supposed he should have seen the explosion coming.
