Bowser bounded through the snow, having just escaped the latest prison they tried to lock the Koopa King in— along with his son. Bowser had seen Bowser Jr. off, safe with Kamek. Though frankly, Kamek was likely in more need of protection than his son. As for Bowser, he was charging straight for the Mushroom Kingdom. After two bouts, he had a score to settle with some meddlesome plumbers with bad facial hair. With a few power-ups tucked under his arm to make him unstoppable, the powerfully built dragon turtle was pushing his way through deep snow banks as he moved south, the fire in him burning like a furnace at full blast as he melted the snow before him.
Then, he heard it— the mechanical whine of something fast. Bowser jerked his head up just in time to see an arwing charging for him, buzzing just above his head as he ducked into the snow.
"Hey, hey, big guy!" the speaker on the arwing echoed across the snowy field. Bowser scowled— he recognized the voice of the plumbers' pompous little pilot friend, Fox. "You're not supposed to be out here. Why don't we get back out of the cold, to a nice, cozy jail cell?"
Bowser snarled, palming his fist as he glared up at the arwing. "Why don't you come down here and try and take me down yourself, instead of hiding behind your fancy toys? Or do I need to peel you out of there like a tin can?"
"Oh ho, don't threaten me with a good time. I don't like tyrants at the best of times, but you and your kid nearly cost me my ticket home— so this is more than just doing a favor for Mario, this is for pleasure." Fox responded. "But hey, I'm a nice guy so I'll give you one last shot— surrender, Bowser, or get blasted."
"Come and do your worst!" Bowser snatched up one of his power-ups, smashing the crate and gobbling down one of the more powerful mushrooms— the koopa felt a sudden surge of power as his body expanded, shooting up in height and filling out. His already powerful arms unfurled with new, mighty brawn, his chest surging outward while his spiked shell grew tight to hold in the mass of hefty flanks stretching out his scales. Fox didn't respond, but instead Bowser could hear the arwing revving up for another fly over. Bowser would have to time his attack just perfectly, not off by a second. The arwing roared across the sky, and Bowser struck— his chest inflated as he let loose an explosion of fire that struck Fox's arwing just as it was about to strike, and the fighter slammed into a snowbank.
"HAH!" Bowser thumped his beefy chest, lumbering over to the arwing as he dropped his other power-ups in the snow— he was going to want both hands for taking care of this furry show-off. Planting one foot on the battered hull of the arwing, Bowser smirked down at the fogged-up cockpit. "Come on out, McCloud! We're just getting started!" he shouted, cracking his knuckles, the bloated mass of muscles in his arms twitching and flexing with anticipation.
He did not expect a fist to punch through the cockpit— one that looked a lot larger than he expected.
"Ooh." Forcing himself out of the cockpit was a far bigger fox than Bowser anticipated; his flight suit was stretched tight across a powerfully built musculature, sleeves ready to burst over cannonball biceps and a shirt fraying around his beefy pecs. "That is the last time I let one of you koopa freaks bust up my baby." Leaping to his feet, the powered-up fox marched up to Bowser, latching on to the spiked collar around the koopa king's thick neck.
"Oh yeah? What're you gonna do about it? Once that power-up wears off, you'll be a scrawny little pup, and I'll still be King." Bowser grabbed on to Fox, locking arms as the two suped-up, musclebound figures grappled and wrestled in the snow— both their augmented muscles tensed and bulged, until they both tumbled into the snow— Bowser still had an edge with sheer mass and muscle, but Fox was scrappy, and with his new brawn, those kicks and scratches hurt a lot more than they used to.
With both of them starting to tire, Fox glanced to the side, his eye catching something in the snow. Bowser followed McCloud's eye, and spotted it— one more power-up. "Hey!" Bowser snorted, shoving Fox into the snow. "That's mine!"
Fox kicked and scrambled through the snow, bounding on his springy, muscular legs, both him and the koopa king rushed— Bowser kicked him to the side, Fox threw snow in the dragon turtle's eyes. It was a close thing— both their claws scraped against the power-up box, but with one last desperate grab, Fox's fingers wrapped around it, and he snatched it away.
"NO!" Bowser shouted as he saw the glimmer of the one power-up he was hoping Fox wouldn't get. McCloud crushed the star in his grip, and then let out a low, exhilarated whistle as he felt an explosion of power flowing through him. The fox felt every part of his body consumed with galvanizing energy, filled to the brim, until his body insisted on either expanding or exploding. His already augmented arms grew larger and larger, massive burls of muscle twitching and growing as his biceps swelled large as boulders, hefty triceps thick as anvils. His back suddenly flared out wide as the wingspan of his arwing, bulwark lats thicker than castle walls. His enormous chest surged out like a wave, shadowing bloated abs thick as bricks stacked tight against one another. His military boots strained to contain the vast mass of his ballooning calf muscles, matched with thighs like tank treads.
The ground shook as Fox stomped down on the frozen ground, easily overpowering Bowser as he clamped an iron grip on the koopa's shell. He flashed a smug grin as he loomed large over Bowser, flexing his bicep until it cast a shadow down on Bowser, blotting out the sky like a planet passing overhead. "C'mon, Your Highness— your cell's waiting. Seeing as you wrecked my arwing again, it's gonna be a long walk. Don't think about trying to run off, now— I still got lots of fire power to lay down on you."
