I hinted at this a while ago, so here is the first such video. Yeah, my inexplicable obsessions do extend beyond retro computers. They also include antique radios and televisions from the vacuum tube era! I first started working on these in childhood, but haven't done any serious work on one in over 10 years. I never thought it would play well on this channel, that is until I saw an exhibit from the Antique Radio Club of Illinois at VCF Midwest this year. Seeing the amount of interest they were getting made me think perhaps there is some overlapping interest in these subjects. I hope I'm right, otherwise this week's video may be a wash...
I have a somewhat sizeable collection of radios and televisions dating from the 1920s thru the 1960s. Most are in need of full electrical restoration. I've been holding off on starting those projects for the sake of their video potential. Well, this is the first experiment in such videos.
Don't worry, this will not become the dominant theme of the channel. These will probably only pop up every few months or so.
I would appreciate your most honest feedback also. This is probably the furthest I will go in terms of non-computer subjects, so it feels like uncharted waters. This will help shape future videos on this subject (if there are any).
