That's right. You get TWO videos for the price of one this week! Through the magic of severely neglecting other aspects of life, I managed to pump out both a CRT and a computer video. This is because I want to test my mid-week release theory. Therefore the CRT video will not get publicly released until Wednesday. In the meantime, I'm going to try and get out yet another computer video for release the following Friday. I'm trying to gather this data because it is the model I would aim for if ever I went full-time here. Computers on the weekend, and general electronics (not just CRTs) mid-week. This cadence definitely seems do-able (without that pesky full-time job) assuming I don't get stuck waiting for parts on a particular project.
Don't worry about burnout. Aside from the editing (which I'm increasingly getting more efficient at), none of this feels like work to me. Being in the garage playing with old computers and electronics all day is the stuff of dreams to me. Certainly a goal worth having.
As for these videos: I chose a very strange and curiously heavy system from the 2000s to explore. The thing just seems made of question marks so I decided to get some answers at last. It came from the most recent e-waste haul.
The TV is a trash-picked Sony Trinitron. Yes... A Trinitron on the side of the road... In 2026... I could hardly believe it. Never happens around here...
