Here's this week's mid-week release. This unit comes to me by way of my brother in-law. He acquired it a year or so ago to watch his old tapes. Well, first tape he tried happened to be his original 1989 Batman tape that he had since childhood.... Which the machine promptly ate, necessitating rescue... I haven't worked on a VCR in nearly 30 years... These machines were in-fact what started my interest in all electronics. I may have mentioned it before: My dad was an electronics repair technician for as far back as I can remember. He would often take his work home with him (usually TVs and VCRs) and I would watch him repair them. Well, that eventually came to bite him as when I was around three years old, I got a hold of a screwdriver and took our family VCR apart... He was not too happy about that, but Mom was quite impressed. She loved to tell that story!
