Now, for more context:
The last couple weeks I’ve been finally establishing a work schedule and, thanks to that, I’ve been able to focus more and to notice how long some types of commission really take to complete. In the same way, it’s been useful to wrap my mind around how much I should charge. These key factors used to be hard for me to notice because I worked in a very scattered way.
I’m opening these type of commissions exclusively in order to:
- Realize how much effort/time they take to complete and then adjust accordingly.
- Offer a more affordable option for TF comms besides big projects. My prices will continue to increase a bit as I adjust to the new responsibilities I have as a full-time artist in the EU. For these types of comms, I intend not to change the price, but to know how many of these I can take per month in order to make it sustainable.
- Keep working on longer projects I have atm (one comic I’m just beginning, one about to end and a five-poses sequence, besides other kinds of gigs like illustrations for clothing and a couple storyboards). Once I finish those, I’ll probably start taking only one big project at a time.
