The title I’ve come up for this short volume is Transforming Ink, due to it being about TF and worked solely on black ballpen ink. It’s a long title though, so if you have any suggestions I’m all eyes.
Earlier I sketched the lettering and some cover ideas.
The first one depicts two mid TF hands, I’ll try to make one more rough and the other more delicate, but they would preserve the pose and intention.
The second idea is one based on the books’s host, so it’s like the silhouette of a person (me) transforming into a bat amidst a cloud of magic smoke. Has a lot of texture but I think it would be confusing; it looks like the main story is about this character and that’s not the case.
The third idea is a dark hand-claw, touching the title, hence making some magical mist come swirling out of it. Amidst the smoke, four mid TF hands rise. I think this one makes the content pretty clear thought it might have too many elements.
I think my preferred option so far is #1, but I’m thinking #3 wouldn’t be a bad idea either. What do you think?
