Hey everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I have some diverse news to share and it feels good to finally unravel it. I have been working hard to keep the game moving forward since the havoc last summer.
The big news is that the game has been accepted on Steam after some back and forth because of me trying to enter Early Access. Alas, early access is no longer possible on Steam for mature games, so I had to split the project into two parts for the Steam version (doesn't affect the version on Patreon). It's not the perfect solution, but in today's harsh environment I consider that a win.
The Steam page for Shadow Island: Part I is now live:https://store.steampowered.com/app/3989890/
If you want to help, adding the game to your wishlist would mean a lot.
Even if you have no plans to buy it, a bigger wishlist count tells Steam that people are interested, which makes the store promote it more. It's really helpful if you want to support us, free and quick.
You may have also noticed the game has a new name, Shadow Island. I felt it better reflected the world and setting and with the game arriving on Steam store, this was the last opportunity to adjust the title.
Alongside this, I am releasing version R13.5 today. It includes a heavily reworked inventory system, many smaller improvements, and a new character named Beatrice who replaces Alice. It also comes with the rebranding to the new name.
With this out of the way, all attention is now on R14. The ETA is still December. You can see the art preview of Hale’s sub scene that is being worked on. After that, the focus will shift to a ritual scene with the governor and to her non sub mating scene. Once that done, the update should be ready to release!
