There's a kind of freedom you get on the beach that I think feels more "pure" in a way, and almost a little primordial. Maybe I'll get into it another time, or maybe you already know the feeling. Anyway, I frequently imagine Juno spending the day at her local beach and I wanted to do more thoughtful revisit of an old piece (FA | e621) from when I was still very much getting the hang of digital media.
The pose and color scheme started off similar enough to the inspiration but I wasn't getting the right vibe from it. Some adjustments helped the flow a lot, I think.
I played with the idea of giving her a friend to hang out with, and eventually settled on a rabbit girl who's showing up in the final version. Petra wasn't feeling up to it today :P Juno doesn't mind solo visits to the beach, but she's also the kind of vixen who can easily enlist others for a spontaneous outing.
