I felt like the first panel was important to explain just how each lady feels about this situation. Nicole's hesitance is reasonable, but from Lorraine's point of view, it isn't really a big deal considering how much they've done before.
And I thought this was a great opportunity to bring back Rhonda and Winter. I haven't drawn them in a while and they are both a lot of fun. And of course, the college version of Lorraine with longer hair.
In the color version I decided to also do the tanned version of Lorraine with the tan lines to help give an extra visual distinction between the modern day panels and the flashback. So I guess that means this scene is taking place after Spring Break.
