Clack.
Clack.
Clack.
The tap of his staff against the pavement brought Beelzebub pleasure, so did the wind fluttering his robes and the purple silk draped over his shoulders. That worked directly against minimizing the mana cost associated with sustaining him, but Rin didn't protest, and so he remained materialised throughout the walk.
"You should have an Independent Action skill as an Archer."
Rin spoke as they rounded the corner onto a road of wealthy manses built like those in the West. The road was wide, to ensure that the expensive vehicles parked inside the gated compounds could enter and exit freely.
"Or, I have more mana than I thought."
Beelzebub raised a curious brow.
"I don't think anyone can sustain the Devil. No, the world itself would reject that kind of manifestation. Either, you're severely weakened-" Her brows knit together, deep in thought, "-No, that can't be right. The lowest parameter you have is a B in Agility. The rest are A across the board. Unless..."
She glanced at him, eyes widening.
The Beelzebub that walked beside Rin Tohsaka was at his weakest, completely suppressed by the corrective force of the planet and summoned in a vessel incapable of holding the complete power of a Deity such as himself.
"This is the weakest you can be?"
Clack.
"Does that terrify you, master?" Beelzebub inclined his head. "Does it make you worry?"
Rin Tohsaka was brave enough for maintaining her confidence when dealing with him. He expected the realisation to sour their working relationship.
Instead of brushing him off, Rin locked her fingers together behind her back and leaned forward. She turned to him with curious blue eyes.
"You won't betray me?"
"I will not. Let that be our contract, my foolish master."
"Then I'm happy I summoned someone so strong. With you, I'll definitely win the war."
A satisfied smile tugged at her lips.
"I ask again, has sense left you?"
He was the Lord of the Flies.
"Hm?"
"What if I wish to unleash hell upon the world?"
There was very little chance such a wish would work if he made it in the first place, but the agenda had to be maintained no matter what. Yeah, she was cute, but cuteness was temporary. The larp was eternal.
"I'll deal with that when I get there."
Beelzebub gripped his chin, "I see now why you are a lonely person."
"I-I'm not lonely!"
"A sad loner lacking manners. Did your parents not teach you? That is what parents are for, yes?"
She closed her eyes.
"My dad died when I was seven."
Damn.
"That explains much." He shamelessly doubled down. "Do you expect sympathy from the Prince of Hell?"
Her eyes narrowed, "I think an absent dad is better than one that condemns me to hell for all eternity after one fight."
Rin seemed to have grown used to the amusement Beelzebub derived from her answers.
"Fair play, master. Fair play."
They walked in silence after, with only the clack of his staff to accompany them. That remained so only for a minute, then Rin stopped. A gloomy manse of dark brick rose across the street from them, less a house and more a castle, with a slanted roof laid with blue tiles much like the Tohsaka Estate but much more well kept.
Several chimneys dotted the roof, and the stairways all around the house were built like defensive towers from a bygone era. A rounded drum tower-like study room dominated the eastern wing.
"There." Rin said flatly.
Beelzebub's ears did not miss the disdain in her voice.
His right hand gripped the Staff of Apomyius by its skull, and a twisted grin crossed his lips. For the longest moment, he considered flattening the entire place, and grounding what was below into a paste.
He quickly decided against that.
Not with Sakura inside.
"You dislike them, master?"
"I know what Shinji does to Sakura... but, it's none of my business."
"It can be." He whispered, "You want it to be, do you not? I will lend my strength to that desire."
Rin's lips twitched. "The Matou are magi. We can't just interfere in their household."
He hoisted his staff into the air by the skull. An intense red filled up its empty eye sockets.
"We can retrieve the innocent maiden inside for later use."
A shiver ran down Rin's spine. She stared at him in shock.
"Y-... W-What do you plan on doing with her?"
He planned on killing the insects inside her body, then giving her a change of clothes after a nice long bath. Oh, a delicious meal too, along with all the head pats in the world. Lots of money too. The best life possible.
Oh, he could picture her reaction to all the food he was going to feed her!
-
Rin's heart drummed at the wretched grin etched across Beelzebub's inexpressive pale features. Dark clouds hid away the shimmering moon overhead, and the world drowned in the Prince of Hell's darkness. The air grew suffocating.
She was forced to take a step away.
Could she really stop him with her command seals?
"I will take her for a prize."
The dirty image of literal Satan having his way with the aloof Sakura crossed her mind. He'd strip her naked, tie a collar around her neck, and do all sorts of naughty-... Rin slapped her cheeks, feeling the heat that had risen to them.
"No-... You can't just take people-"
"I am Beelzebubl."
He declared his right.
Dammit, this was an evil predating man. She was a fool to think he wouldn't end up doing something like this-
"And I will adopt whoever I please."
...What?
Rin felt her brain short-circuiting.
"Y-You want to adopt Sakura?"
He nodded unapologetically, "Yes."
"N...Not have your way with her body?"
For a good moment, he stood there stoically, just watching her. Then, his free hand moved to cover his mouth.
"My, how naughty."
Rin's eyes shot wide open.
Satan had just called her a pervert...
Her hair fluttered when Beelzebub suddenly turned her way. His pale hand held her chin, and she felt all the heat from before rush back to her face when he raised her head to peer deep into her eyes.
"I would prefer you, my master."
W-Wha?
Rin struggled to find her words.
She wouldn't be led astray by the Prince of Hell!
"I-I'm not giving into your-"
Beelzebub was gone before he finished. She only heard the clack of staff before he was crossing the road. The darkness followed his every step. He stopped right at the edge of the estate. Something seemed to shift, and a short dagger buried itself in the earth a mere inch away from his thick boots.
-
He knew where the sword had come from, and even who it belonged to, but he still did his 'foe' the honour of following along the chain joined to the hilt. It had come from the rooftop. A pale and tall woman stood above, her back to the night sky.
Long purple hair flowed down to her heels, and her strapless dress barely fell over her hips. Disappointingly, there was only a faint view of her pale thighs, the rest were covered up by her long black boots.
More importantly, her boobs were massiv-
Though her eyes were bound by an odd strap, Beelzebub knew she was looking right at him.
Medusa.
Gorgon.
The monster felled by Perseus.
The Rider-class servant summoned by the Matou household, presently bound to one Shinji Matou. She was... a sad person, much like Sakura Matou, her actual master. He’d always liked her.
She yanked the chain, and the blade arched through the air as it made its way back into her hand.
"Medusa-"
Her face tightened.
"-One like you should join myself instead. Cast away that pathetic excuse of a man, and become mine."
"And..." She started calmly, measuring her words for an advantage, "Who are you?"
Clack.
Beelzebub rested both hands atop his stuff.
An intense red spilled out of the skull, and his shadow became that of a great insect's.
"I am the Ruler of the Evil Spirits. The Dark God of the Pit feared The Lord of the Flies by the insects that now dominate the world."
His robes swayed as his larp output reached the max, high enough that he forgot he was even larping!
"-I am Beelzebub. I am Baal-Zebul. You who were defaced as I, I find you most exquisite. A treasure worth having."
-
Hope you enjoyed.
Woof.
P.S: I'm sorry. Please forgive me.
