Rin quietly watched the gentle rise and fall of her little sister's chest from her bedside. Her lips quivered at the thought of all Sakura had been put through in all those years Rin had remained happily, if not willfully, oblivious to her situation at home.

Medusa had helped her carry the unconscious girl back to her home, leaving behind the gloom of the Matou family home... but that did not mean Rin could forget the sight of those slimy creatures that made up the core of the Matou family magecraft.

She put two and two together once she saw Beelzebub kill the main body inside Sakura.

Her servant had not said much after, but even the Prince of Hell refused to abide by whatever was happening inside that cursed home. What troubled Rin more than anything, was what that said about her.

Rin hid her face in her hands, leaning forward.

Some genius she was.

She knew Shinji was abusive, but she had not willingly ignored the depths of that abuse. The sight of what he was about to do when they entered the room was burned into her memory, to remain unforgettable for the rest of her life.

"I'm so stupid." Rin murmured to herself.

All those years, she thought it was good for Sakura to be adopted into the Matou, just as her father had told her. She would inherit the wealth, prestige and power of a lineage that predated their own. The best possible outcome for a child not chosen to be the heir, who would otherwise be little more than spare parts in most magus households.

"I should've at least looked into-"

Her breath hitched and her words caught in her throat.

All that had already long passed. It could not be taken back. Rin could have done something, and yet she had not. She would not forget that for as long as she lived, or ever forgive herself for it.

She looked at her sleeping sister through blurry eyes.

"How can I ever make it up to her?"

Rin didn't know.

But, she'd try... She'd try her best, and then some.

After all Sakura went through, would it be enough though?

-

Is it even larp or am I looking at this wrong?

Beelzebub rested on his throne in the living room, a throne some would foolishly insist was a mere sofa. Those naysayers remained unaware that any chair his divine bottom graced was elevated far beyond all other furniture.

He was Satan.

His throne was whatever he decided it was.

So, sat on his throne, Beelzebub was deep in deliberation, resting his cheek against his fist.

That was... the depths of his pretending. It took a grand total of one night for him to shed any of what remained from his last life in favour of truly adopting his new persona, a strange mesh of his new identity as the deity Beelzebub who almost lost to Nikola Tesla and his real self.

His reasoning?

This is too much fun.

He doubted he would ever get bored of being the genuine Prince of Hell. Though, he did wonder if the Beelzebub of this world was watching him have the time of his life, and if that person took any offense to his behaviour.

His thoughts quickly turned to how he could pamper Sakura while maintaining the agenda.

The long shadow beside the open window across from him shifted, and took the shape of a tall woman. Medusa's lips parted. She wanted to say something, but was struggling to find the words... or her confidence. Beelzebub waited patiently.

"You said," She started slowly, unable to hold her curiosity, "You said you were made into a monster like me. What does that mean?"

Beelzebub raised his eyes to stare at her, rapping his fingers along the head of his staff.

"Only if I am not overstepping, Lord Beelzebub." She quickly added with some uncertainty.

Many in his position would give in to the beautiful woman, and tell her to drop the honorifics so that they might feel close. He did not. No, there was a certain pleasure to be found in being talked to like that by Medusa, of all people.

"My days were monotonous once."

Literally one day ago.

"Though, my discontent was immense. I do not think I was so hateful that I would choose to end them." He said calmly, shamelessly aggrandizing the most plain backstory known to man, "Then, suddenly, I was the Prince of Hell. Father of Lies. The Dark God of the Pit. All those names I never would have considered for myself."

He'd fantasized about them though.

A faint smile tugged at his lips.

Beelzebub inclined his head.

"But I will not lie. I revel in them. So be it. I sit upon my throne with joy."

The silk draped over his shoulders fluttered when he rose and made his way to Medusa, until he could sense her tighten up in trepidation. She was pretty tall. He was taller. She raised her head to stare at him, but did not shy away from his touch when he reached out for her face.

Beelzebub merely tapped a finger against the strap blinding her.

A vibration, and the severed blind fell.

"Why hide your exquisite beauty, Medusa?"

Her shimmering purple eyes widened.

The Mystic Eyes of Petrification, her most famous legend, did nothing at all to him. His body easily shook off the sudden onset of sluggishness.

He pitied her.

"Join me in my hubris. I do not find you monstrous."

"I-"

That's it.

Unable to hold back any longer, he moved closer and... decisively planted a hand on top of her head. She trembled, perhaps fearing what became of Shinji. But, he raised the hand, then brought it down again.

The Prince of Hell began giving her... headpats.

"I was protecting my sisters."

"How dutiful."

Medusa looked at the ground. A slight blush reddened her pale cheeks.

"You may do as you please with me."

"How lecherous."

Beelzebub merely patted her shoulder and turned to the door, leaving the Rider to stew in her own misunderstanding.

-

Clack.

Rin was pulled out of her stupour when she outright felt Beelzebub enter the room on his own. A certain sense of impending doom came with being in the presence of literal Satan himself that even she, in all her confidence, was not capable of outright ignoring... or not. He was surprisingly open to restraining his presence.

She just heard his cane, but the prior reasoning sounded better in her head.

"It has occurred to me that you are sorely lacking in funds, master."

"Just when I was wondering what you wanted now." Rin let out a long sigh, "Excess is a sin, isn't it?"

"There is such a thing as excessive frugality. You need not be ashamed of your lack of wealth. It is an ugly look."

"I'm not ashamed." Rin bit out.

Beelzebub remained inexpressive.

"Peasant."

"You did not-"

"Your delusion regarding this is grander than my own."

What did that even mean?

"Eh?" A puzzled smile crossed Rin's lips.

"Rejoice, my peasant master."

Rin closed her eyes.

"I'd take being a peasant over being Satan."

"You bore me, master. Surely your genius must allow you a new insult to throw upon me. Because I would find myself questioning your intelligence if you had somehow forgotten who I am, and what I am blamed for."

Rin had... to give him that one.

The Christian faith held the mystery of the world in a vice-like grip. The number of believers was so great, that the Word of God truly did hold power as a thaumaturgy. The verses could function like spells. It was the sole reason they stood on equal grounds with the Mage's Association, even with all its vast, combined systems and practices of magecraft.

More importantly, that faith had made sure that there was no insult or mockery Satan was not given at some point.

Suddenly, it clicked.

Who was to say he was sitting around hearing all those?

He didn't let her speak.

Clack.

Her thoughts broke.

"Worry not, my questionable competent master. I shall make certain you possess incomparable wealth before the Sun rises anew."

Though his words were for her, Beelzebub's gaze remained fixed on the sleeping Sakura.

"...How are you going to do that exactly?"

"By going for a walk. Will you accompany me?"

-

Hope u enjoyed.

Me personally, I think I might be enjoying this a little too much.
