Just a quick update on the next video. I was meant to be testing out 3d gloop but spoiler alert: it didn't work. I tried a bunch of techniques but it never really seemed to react and melt the surface of the prints. There's enough other good results around that I'll present my experience but remain fairly neutral.
The subjects were the helmet pictured and the t rex skull. After the first failures with 3d gloop it forced me to go old school, filling, sanding and painting. The helmet is more or less done, it looks so much better than off the printer with the special spray paint. The skull has been coated in putty and will hopefully be receiving some distressing to make it look like it's been dig up.
I'm honestly really bad at this stuff so if I can do it, anyone can. Fingers crossed.
