The Wild Within Devlog #16: Nix & Emi scene; Update coming soon! [+Bonus art/sketches]

Hello! We're happy to say that Update 0.5.0 is getting close!

All of the artwork for this update is now finished! At the moment, we're focusing on coding, implementing dialogues into the engine, adding sound effects and music, and putting all the pieces together.

Here's a little sneak peek at what we've been working on:

Nix & Emi love scene

This scene is now completely finished, including alternate versions with fluids and different facial expressions~ I'm so happy with how it turned out. It feels so soft, gentle, and intimate, exactly the atmosphere I wanted to create. ^^

A new sprite for Nix

We've also finished a brand new sprite for Nix. As you may remember, she left for the forest to gather ingredients... but it seems like something didn't go quite as planned...

Bringing everything together

Right now we're also working on the audio side of the update. As you know, The Wild Within features partial voice acting, so we're currently bringing everything together: the writing, artwork, music, sound effects, and voiced lines to make the scenes feel more alive.

These sketches are actually for the next update (0.6.0), not 0.5.0... but I just couldn't resist showing them! They're early pose exploration sketches. I suddenly got inspired and ended up doodling this mischievous fox, hehe~
