Hey everyone! Baku here.To be honest, last week was WEAK (get it? get it?) ... Ahem. There was not much progress — personal family stuff got in the way. But this week, I managed to finish up the quests I wanted to polish and wrapped up the final version of the biggest main-story event.Honestly, sometimes the sheer volume of text scares me a little. I'm not entirely sure I'm heading in the right direction or that people will actually enjoy reading all of this. On the other hand, the game was always meant to be a visual novel with heavy text, so players can really dive deep into the characters and go through the adventure alongside them. What's more, when I try to cut things down and get to the important bits faster, some readers even say the pacing feels too rushed.A few spoilers for the event: Ilias is going to have to step up in a high-pressure situation and act decisively — this will make those around him see him in a new light, not just as the weak newbie. That said, he won't be showing his stuff in combat, but rather in the culinary department, so to speak. After that, a new phase of training begins, where all sorts of cool cooking tricks unique to this world will be revealed.I also want to say that the game's positive, lighthearted atmosphere will gradually shift over time. This reflects Ilias's growth and his transformation into a true hero. That's exactly why he looks the way he does right now — it's important both visually and for the storytelling. And I can't wait to share all of this with you! That's about it.Plans for next week: finish writing the story and go through bug fixes.Have a great weekend, everyone, and thanks for reading our devlogs!
