Remember when I said there would be a way to permanently learn skills without equipment! Well, here it is!
Instead of straight upgrading your skills like before (That's not as necessary since your skills more closely scale with your team's power), now the salon can permanently affix skills to your party members!
So after using up your iridescent shards here, you'll be able to use certain skills forever, without having to worry about what gear you have equipped!
I hope you guys like this change- When I've been playtesting, I've found this system more satisfying than just straight-up upgrading skills, there's just something about it that really works!
This is the last big post about the battle system overhaul for now, so posts on Patreon won't be quite as frequent as they have been! (Though since it's so close to next month, it's about time for the dev commentary and bonus scene!!)
Believe it or not, there's still SO much more to talk about in the Chapter 10 update- I'm actually considering creating a "Evoria Direct" style presentation to go over all the new stuff, so lemme know if that's something you guys would be interested in!
After seeing all this (plus some teasers for SeaBea's crazy huge animation), I'm hoping it's a little easier to see why Chapter 10 has taken so long! I know I've said it a million times, but I promise things are still coming along smoothly! There's a lot more than you'd expect in this update, so stay tuned for more on what's coming!
