What’s Been Going On?
1. MVA Online School Has Officially Started!
School is in full swing now! The Canvas work can be a bit tricky sometimes, but the lessons and clubs are actually pretty fun. My favorite subject is definitely science — it’s just way more interesting than the rest (I don’t even know why, it just is!).
2. We’re on Tranquil Pontoon
Right now, we’re staying on the Tranquil Pontoon. It’s a really nice place, and I can go out for walks and explore. Honestly, I just love Nidri in general — it’s such a chill spot.
I've also been learning how to make fresh pasta with Josh and it is a lot of fun and really cool to be able to cook meals for everyone.
We have been to Lefkada town a couple of times too and I really like it there - the streets are like a maze and it is quite 'old school' Greece.
3. Trip to England
Okay, I can’t believe I’m saying this… but going to England was actually kinda nice!I got to see my grandparents, and they have a dog that chased me around (which was actually pretty fun). We also went to a super posh restaurant with super posh people there - and trust me, posh people are crazy, they’ll eat anything!
We also went to a fun park where I saw my amazing cousin Chloe. Later we had dinner at her house - we had lasagna (not my favourite, to be honest).
4. Mum Fractured Her Finger!
While we were away, Mum accidentally crushed her finger in a hatch. I felt really bad for her, but she still does everything like normal, even with a fractured finger! She’s seriously tough.
5. We’ve All Been Sick!
While we were in England, I got this awful sore throat that felt like I was swallowing razor blades. Then it disappeared… and suddenly Josh got it, then Dad, and then Mum after we got back!We almost never get sick because we don’t usually go on public transport or hang out in crowded places, so I guess it was about time we caught something.
6. We Rescued Another Kitten — Button
Right before we flew to England, Mum took in another foster kitten named Button. He was super cute - I used to wrap him up like a “purrito” and gently swing him around. We spoiled him with treats and cuddles.
But then one morning, we woke up and he was just lying there, barely breathing. We rushed him to the vet, but sadly, he didn’t make it. We buried him under a tree and wrote little cards about him. It makes me feel better thinking that he’ll now be part of the tree forever.
7. Smidge Is Missing!
While all that was happening with Button, Smidge went missing a few days earlier. We didn’t worry at first because she always spent her days exploring the forest behind the pontoon and came home at night (or tried to break out if we didn’t let her!).But then… she just never came back.
We think she’s gone feral again because she loved it here so much. It’s actually a good life for her — there are big houses nearby where people leave food out for strays, and there’s only one quiet road with almost no cars. I like to think she’s happy out there.
8. What’s Coming Up Next
We just had an awesome Halloween party at the Yacht Club (I went as Steve from Minecraft!), and now we’re hoping to do some sailing in November. But the weather’s getting really stormy, so we might have to move to a marina for a while — which I don’t mind because it means we might meet new friends and have some fun in town.
