Just before Christmas, Laura and Josh headed off on a very special mum-and-son trip to Paphos in Cyprus. It was a chance to visit family and, just as importantly, to spend some proper one-on-one time together - something that’s actually pretty rare for us when we all live together 24/7.
Getting there (and back!) was a bit of an adventure in itself. With flights no longer leaving from Preveza during the winter, the journey turned into a crazy 17-hour outbound trip and an even longer 19-hour return. Definitely not the easy hop we’re used to - but thankfully very worth it.
They had an amazing time soaking up Cyprus at this quieter time of year, catching up with family, wandering, exploring, and just enjoying being together without the usual day-to-day rush.
Meanwhile, back onboard, Capt and Noah were holding the fort - and honestly, they had a blast too. Just like Laura and Josh, it’s rare for Capt to get so much uninterrupted time with one child, and the boys made the most of it.
Cyprus really is beautiful at this time of year… and let’s be honest - did you even go to Paphos if you didn’t visit the Tomb of the Kings?! 😉
