⚓️ Patreon Update: A Few Quiet Days in Kioni & a big change is in the air…
We’ve been spending some time in one of our favourite Ionian villages lately – beautiful Kioni on Ithaca.
Nestled amongst olive groves and rolling green hills, Kioni feels like a place that time forgot. Colourful waterfront tavernas, crystal-clear water, winding footpaths and traditional houses climbing the hillside make it one of those places that never seems to lose its charm, no matter how many times we visit.
This stay was a little different though.
Rather than anchoring out, we stayed on the town quay itself, giving us a front-row seat to village life. Morning walks through quiet backstreets, cats snoozing in the shade, coffee overlooking the harbour, and evenings watching the last of the sunlight disappear behind the hills.
I found myself wandering further up into the village than usual, discovering hidden lanes and viewpoints I’d somehow never explored before. Every turn seemed to reveal another postcard-worthy scene.
Meanwhile, life aboard Holly Blue continues much as it always has… at least on the surface.
But if you’ve noticed a few subtle clues in these photos, you’d be right. There is definitely change in the air. Cupboards are being emptied. Drawers are being sorted. Boxes are appearing. Packing has quietly begun.
We’re not quite ready to share the full story just yet, but some big changes are coming for the Holly Blue crew, and this chapter is slowly beginning to draw to a close.
For now, we’re soaking up every last moment of island life, enjoying places like Kioni, and making memories before the next adventure unfolds.
More soon… ❤️
