One thing we’ve always said is that our cats aren’t just pets - they’re family. ❤️
For the last seven years they’ve crossed seas, explored islands, moved anchorages and adapted to every adventure right alongside us, so of course they’re coming on this one too!
To make the journey as comfortable as possible, Ross will be travelling overland with Ronnie and Mali whilst the boys and I fly ahead. This gives the cats plenty more room and leaves space in the car for all the belongings we’re somehow trying to squeeze into our next chapter.
Whilst they’ll spend some time in their carriers during transfers between the boat and the car, the main travel setup is actually a large crate with separate areas for sleeping, food, water and a litter tray, giving them plenty of room to stretch out and settle in during the long drive.
They’ve also had all of their vaccinations, parasite treatments, health checks and paperwork completed and are now officially fit to travel across borders by both land and sea. 🌍
To help keep things as stress-free as possible, we’ve also packed Zenifel - a natural calming aid containing feline facial pheromones and catnip extract (Nepeta cataria), designed to help cats feel relaxed and secure when travelling or adapting to new environments.
The boys will really missing them, but we know they’ll be in safe hands with Dad as they make the journey together.
