LOG-008.

Evidently, a majority of the Wardens' budget had gone into the field teams training and equipment, because the prison's security was…lacking, in several aspects.

One of my first steps was gaining access to some kind of data information center. Something that could tell me where everything was, which prisoners were located in which cellblocks, and what I could expect in the way of resistance. It was something that I couldn't put off, lest I get lost and inevitably found out while trying to find my way around.

Of course, actually getting the location of that data had in turn been as simple as flagging a nearby officer down and playing the part of being a little lost, something which the other man had laughed off, patting me on the back and giving me the directions I'd so desperately needed.

I'd been ready to beat him unconscious if he noticed anything off, but either Bob was new enough that some folks didn't recognise him, or he had a penchant for getting himself turned around a lot. Either way, it was the opportunity I'd needed, and after a short walk through several dizzying hallways and corridors, I'd made my way inside the UCF's info nexus.

My time there was short, of course. Just enough to memorise the most important details. Key locations like the various cell blocks, the three armouries within the prison, the airship and aero shuttle loading dock, simple stuff like that.

Which finally led me to where I was currently standing, loitering in the airlock-style doorway that supposedly led into cellblock A, the first (and largest) of my intended destinations.

Peeking through the transparent viewport, I noted the two…no, three dozen Guards currently occupying the immense space, and paused.

As things stood, I was equipped with a stolen stun baton intended for incapacitating energy-based beings, alongside my own (relatively decent) CQC skills. Against a small army of men and women who could likely just dogpile me into submission, if needed.

Stepping away from the sealed door, I huffed quietly, thinking.

Could I cause a distraction of some kind? Redirect some of the internal security? Maybe, but also maybe not. A direct assault was right out, unfortunately. If only I still had my armour…

Blinking beneath my visor, I considered the new idea rapidly taking shape in my mind.

My armour…a modified anti-riot suit, one which had been looted from this very facility. And if I wasn't misremembering, there was an armoury relatively nearby, intended to allow Guard units to respond quickly in the event of a breakout.

Hm…now there was a plan.

"Hey Bob!"

"Hiya Jerry."

I exchanged nods with the other helmeted man in the same breath that I'd mentally read out the name projected on his helmet, before the Guard noticed the exceptionally thick door I was standing in front of, one which was slowly hissing open as it went through whatever unlocking procedure it had been programmed with.

"...Watcha going into the armoury for? I haven't heard of any breach reports."

It was with no small amount of annoyance that I noted the actually audible suspicion in his tone, something part of me knew needed to be nipped in the bud before it became a problem.

"Oh, I've gotta carry something out, boss' orders. Actually, think you can help me move it? U-Unless you're busy or anything!"

There was a heartbeat's worth of hesitation from my counterpart, before his shoulders slumped slightly, voice taking on an exasperated note that matched my internal feelings.

"Always roping me into your jobs man, what, did Adams schedule another equipment transfer or something-HURK!"

As he'd been speaking, Jerry had moved forward, past the now open doorway and into the absolute heaven that the armoury would appear as to any true enjoyer of weapons.

Stun batons. Energy restraints. Guard uniforms. Laser rifles. And nestled into the corner atop what must have been a mannequin, a distinctly utilitarian version of my armour, gold and silver plated form looking almost like a stripped down prototype of my own black and purple Knightmare suit. Not to mention the blue visor.

Jerry had been staring at said armour as he spoke, which of course left him all too vulnerable to the solid kick I delivered to his back, sending the Guard stumbling forward before slamming his helmeted head against the edge of a desk covered in what looked like laser guns or something.

The thunk was loud, but not as loud as the sound of the door hissing shut behind me as I strode up behind him, lashing out with another kick that caught my counterpart where his jaw would be (were he not wearing protection) just as he tried to whirl around to face me, a move that sent him onto his hands and knees with a pained noise..

"Guh! B-Bob! What are you-!?"

The third time proved to be the charm apparently, as I lifted my leg and brought it back down atop the back of his head, sending his visor slamming into the floor with a sharp clack.

Waiting a few seconds to see if he'd be trying to get up again, I finally noted the man's slowed breaths and relaxed, reaching for the length of Gamma string I'd kept stuffed in one of my stolen uniform's pockets.

"I don't get what you're so worried about doc! We got him! We finally got General Knightmare!"

Warden Red's proclamation was met with a round of cheers and high fives from his colleagues, save for an only slightly annoyed Pink, who was currently running damage control on her communicator, muttering about losers trying to cash in on their bets too early.

But none of that seemed to phase one Doctor Korbin, who was tilting back and forth as hard as he could in the chair he was still tied to, face red with the exertion of whatever horrible torture he'd been put through before his students had arrived.

"No my boy! It was all a part of that devious devil's plan! You don't understand!"

The urgency in the man's voice brought a slight pause to the celebrations, even as Warden Yellow finished untying the frankly overly elaborate knot at the back of her teacher's seat with a grunt, freeing the man at last and allowing the young woman to pat him on the shoulder with a questioning tone.

"Don't understand what? He's a being of Chaos, the UCF is literally built to hold him!"

Korbin's worried mumbles were overshadowed by Red's usual victorious fist pump, small flames emerging from somewhere behind the Warden in response to his excellent mood.

"Yeah! There's no planning around that! I bet he's being locked up behind bars as we speak!"
