Attention Free Patrons, BIG changes coming April 1st! (I promise this isn't a gag)
Hey everyone, Snappy here! First of all, since I always get anxious when posts start like this, I wanna lead with saying NOTHING bad is happening, and I am not taking the page down or reducing my output. Phew, with that out of the way… When I cobbled this Patreon together in January 2024, I didn’t really know what I wanted. I had only posted the first Depths Video and wanted to do teasers for All Dungeons No Surface. It’s been over two years now, and the Patreon is largely unchanged. After some meetings with folks at Patreon and discussions with the community, I am here to announce a couple changes!
Free Content: I’m going to put more stuff on here for my free users, as there are over 300 of you at the moment! This will be sort of like Bluesky+, where I post exclusive BTS stuff and clips of upcoming videos, but instead of having to follow me on social media, you can see it right here for free on Patreon! I also plan on posting scrapped scripts, essays, poems etc. on here for documentation that will also be available to free users!
New (And Adjusted) Tiers: The $3 “Simping Snaps” tier is being upped to $5. I want to assure the 139+ folks on this tier that YOUR PRICE WILL REMAIN UNCHANGED! I can edit it so the price only affects new users! After receiving some pretty conclusive data from Patreon, I’m convinced a $5 tier is the best price these days for a base tier. Anyone currently paying the $3/month or $28/year price will be able to keep that price forever, so nobody here has anything to worry about! Lemme know if you have any questions!
A Message for free users: If you want to lock in that $3/month or $28/year amount for Simping Snaps, this is your chance! When the changes go live on April 1st, the $5/month and $50/year amounts will be locked in for all new pledges! If you’ve been meaning to get a paid pledge, now is the best deal you’ll get!
The $10 “Major Moneybags” tier is being renamed “Supporting Snaps” and is going to be considered the “Main Tier” going forward! All future Creator Commentaries will be made available to Supporting Snaps and up, but ANY COMMENTARY currently available to Simping Snaps will remain available to them forever! I also plan on bundling commentaries into purchasable sets, which you can buy and own forever instead of needing to maintain a subscription! “You’ll own nothing and like it” is a major pet peeve of mine, so I really wanna offer a permanent path to ownership for some of these exclusives! Supporting Snaps pledges will also receive access to the “Snappy Hangouts” voice channel on Discord, where I will hop on and screen share whatever I’m doing at least once a month! Whether it’s an offline randomizer, photoshopping some thumbnails, etc. you will be able to watch me work! Viewer mics are DISABLED, meaning you will have to type while I chitchat. Consider it an exclusive stream with no VOD.
And the only truly new tier is “Spoiling Snaps,” a $25 tier that gets you everything listed above, along with access to “Dear Sara,” a bi-weekly audio diary where I speak to my audience about personal matters, life, creative goals etc. It’s as far as I plan to pull the curtain back, and will let you see a bit more of the woman behind “SimplySnaps,” though it won’t be a proper vlog since I won’t be using my face. Spoiling Snaps pledges will also get their names even BIGGER in video credits, access to exclusive chats and channels in Patreon, and anything else I decide to spoil you with for being special.
I want to make it clear that all of these adjustments were made with care, I don’t want anybody to feel like anything’s being taken away, so any existing content your current tier has access to will retain that access indefinitely! Only new things are being restricted to higher tiers. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know in the comments! I’ll reply to everything I can!
