The air was hot and the noonday sun bore down, but the two women smiled as they climbed out from the air-conditioned interior of the taxi, regarding the fine, wrought-iron gates of their vacation getaway. The driver quickly fetched their bags from the trunk and retreated back inside the idling vehicle.
"Um, have a nice vacation," she said quickly, shutting the door and speeding off.
"Oh, we will!" the ponytailed, bespectacled blonde called out with a wave. She turned to her taller, tanned companion. "Well, Jaime, I think if your muscles didn't scare that poor woman, that monster in your pants certainly did."
Jaime stretched and grunted, working out the stiffness of sitting idle in a cramped cab. She paused, her golden tail twitching. "Me? I'm not the one wearing nothing but a cock-curtain, Katherine."
The two of them regarded each other seriously for a moment, then laughed. Katherine pressed the buzzer on the gate.
"May I help you?"
"We have a reservation," Katherine explained. "Under Caldwell, Katherine?"
There was a pause. "Of course, please come in. Welcome to The Creamy Ranch Spa." The gates began to open.
