Hey people, I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted anything on the old Patreon, as always I have no idea what I'm doing. Anyway a bit of behind the scenes for you. January is always a weird time for YouTube content, ad revenue is at it's lowest, sponsors are usually quiet, in my opinion it's a good opportunity to take some time off or experiment. I'm allergic to time off so I've been doing some experimenting. I've got a number of higher production value more narrated style videos in the works that could end up being pretty amazing, or bomb spectacularly. To be honest I might keep em cooking until February but thought this would be a good chance to get you a peak behind the curtain.Half Sword Beggar to Baron Run
First up we've got Half Sword, got a mega video on the climb from a humble beggar to defeating the Baron. This one is getting really close to being finished in the edit. Was hell to record and almost broke me but the finished experience is something to behold.Star Citizen Intergalactic Bounty Hunter
Up next we've got Star Citizen, got a little something something about being a bounty hunter across the galaxy in the works. This one is pretty early days but could end up being a banger. Would definitely recommend the video, would absolutely not recommend the game.
Creating Spore's Darkest Timeline
Also in the works, a bit of a weird one, Spore. I have a particularly evil playthrough of Spore that I think could be pretty sensational. I made a creature called the Roadman and the playthrough takes place in hell itself, a planet called the UK. Fully narrated nature documentary style. Sniper Elite But My Gun Keeps Getting Worse
This is a rehash of my 1 kill = 1 unlock video, except this time 1 kill = 1 random unlock where I spin a wheel to decide the fate of my weapon. Pretty classic sniper hunting stuff (image is just an illustration and not the actual weapon or finished concept).
The sleepy elephant in the room
I had a lot of very positive feedback about my ASMR sleep aid sniper video. When I did it I thought it was a fun idea but I didn't expect such a strong response. The vast majority of people who watched this video LOVED IT, my likes and comments to views ratio far outperformed my standard stuff. I've had DMs and emails from people taking time out of their day to beg me to make more. I was a little shocked, and have subsequently hummed and harred over whether to persue the idea and how to potentially do it. For now I think it makes the most sense to explore this on it's own channel, as it's an entirely different value proposition to anything else I make on slorgs. But realistically, I'm only going to be able to make something like this work with a proper fleshed out Patreon model. I'll be working on this as a little side project to see what works and what doesn't, I'll let you know if I ever pull it off.slorgs Wrapped 2025
It's been a bumper year for slorgs. We gained almost 110,000 subscribers and just over 19 million views. The vast majority of the channels success came in the last 4 ish months of the year when I accidently became a Sniper Elite YouTuber. Realistically I'm not sure Sniper Elite is a big enough game to be sustainable for channel health long term, hence some experimentation coming up, but if my experiments fail I may well conclude that I'm the Sniper Elite guy and settle in to that for 2026, on slorgs at least.
