"Are you going to continue to pretend to be asleep? That can't be very comfortable." A low, sultry voice called out.

"Another couple of minutes, Mazikeen." He replied in cheer, as he repositioned himself. The sound of waves crashing into the beach was soothing, as was the smell of brine and seafoam. The call of seafaring birds, whose names he had not bothered to learn despite his very, very long existence, was a soothing balm on his old, frigid heart.

What wasn't was the tip of a shoe shoving itself into his ribs.

"Fine, fine. I'm up."

Lucifer Morningstar called out to his ever loyal and faithful companion with a grumble as he sat up. Sand drifted off his back and his hair as he looked down at himself. He was naked. He realized with a raised brow. That was nothing surprising in itself. If he counted the number of times he woke up naked, the stars would have died out twice over. The real problem was that he was alone.

"Well, that's a first." He called out in an amused tone as he looked around. "It's not often I find myself naked and alone after a quick romp under the sheets."

"Under what sheets, Lucifer. We're on a beach."

"Yes, and?" He drawled out in a tone that told her what he thought about fucking on the beach. Inconsequential. He would rate it a four over ten, and it only got that high because he was the one doing the fucking. Sex on the beach was tame compared to all the shenanigans he had gotten up to over the millennia since his father... He physically jerked himself out of that train of thought by forcing himself to look at Mazikeen.

Hell's most skilled torturer and his right hand herself was a beauty to behold. There was not the faintest sense of attraction from him, judging by the lack of stir in his loins, his cock as flaccid as it had been since he woke. However, he was certain not everyone could say the same, case in point, the old man a few meters away that had dropped his bucket and was staring at her, no doubt beautifully rounded rump with a red face.

The female demon had a face built for seduction, but had twisted those features into something dangerous and predatory from the amount of scowling she often did, as well as the scar that parted her brow.

A lovely gift from one of her sisters. Mazikeen refused to tell him the full story.

Her dark skin glinted in the waning sun, and her even darker hair hung heavy across her shoulders. Her physique was slim and packed with lean muscles that belied the strength her frame could put out, to say nothing of her hips and perky breasts.

He ignored the two blades in her hands. How she managed to hold on to them while losing every other scrap of possession should be shocking, but then again. She was Mazikeen, so he put it out of his head.

"You look wonderful as always, Mazikeen."

"I'm not going to fuck you, Lucifer. And that aside, we have more important things at hand."

"Even more important than gazing on a body perfectly sculpted by—"

"We're not on Earth, Lucifer."

Four words. Five if he was being generous. That was all it took for all the humor to leave his tone and eyes.

"What do you mean?"

Mazikeen's features tightened at the look in his eyes, but she had known him long enough to resist the instinctual fear. "Look around."

And for the first time since he woke up naked in the sand, Lucifer Morningstar actually looked.

The sun was waning, sinking into the horizon in the distance, and as he found his way to his feet, he raised a well-manicured and perfectly sculpted eyebrow at the structure in the distance. An architectural marvel created right in the middle of the ocean, it stood strong amidst the waves with its arches and spires.

Covering it in a bubble was a shimmering forcefield that reflected several shades of light and energy, yet his senses told him that it was more technology than magic, and stretching across the structure to another end of the beach was a glowing bridge that shimmered beautifully in the dying light of the bay.

"It seems we're not in Los Angeles." He mused out loud in amusement. "Unless I got my timeline wrong and somehow sent us to the future."

"No, we're not," Mazikeen replied.

"Hmm." Lucifer hummed, as he shifted his posture, scratching at the ever-present and carefully maintained stubble on his jaw. This was strange. Not the strangest situation he had found himself in, of course, but strange enough to be up there.

"Are you certain we set our destination as Los Angeles while leaving the gates of Hell?"

"Yes, I checked. Twice." Mazikeen replied from behind him, with the tone of someone who had been expecting the question.

Lucifer let out another hum of acceptance before he reached out with his senses, and what he found was... enlightening.

He cocked his head to the side as he focused, interpreting what his senses were telling him carefully. This was Earth. Not the Earth he had known, not the one he had come to multiple times over the past millennia since his... banishment. No, this was a different Earth. One that had not truly been touched by his father's hands.

"It seems like Daddy Dearest did not take my leaving Hell well."

He could hear Mazikeen's breath hitch at the mention of his father, forcing him to chuckle in response. He rounded on her and gave her one of his heartwarming smiles, unfortunately, for her, off course, she had grown used to his charms. "However, fear not. I believe this would be the extent of my father's meddling. You know his shtick, free will and all. Regardless, I have the nagging feeling this should be fun."

"What do you mean?"

"We're on a new Earth, Maze." He replied to her with a blinding smile, using the short form of her name. "One of the many multiverses my father has most likely built and littered across the cosmos, but one that he had not bothered to pay attention to. One that I did not even know about. Imagine what joy and mystery are to be found here!?"

Mazikeen raised a not-so-amused brow, so he walked to her and strapped a hand over her shoulder. He had to flex his knees only slightly due to the height difference, as he gestured with his other hand to the architectural marvel floating on the sea.

"Take a look at that, Maze. Have you seen something like that before?"

"No." The demon replied to him begrudgingly, and he spun her around to face him once more.

"Well, this is our chance to see this and more. Sure, it changes a couple of things, but the itinerary stays the same, my little cold-hearted succubus. This is the vacation of a lifetime, one that I'm quite sure would be interesting if nothing else, so what say you? Are you ready to explore this beautiful, strange Earth?"

Mazikeen stared at him nonplussed for a second before letting out a defeated sigh, and gesturing to his still exposed junk. "We're not doing that naked, are we?"

His eyes drifted down once more, and he replied to her with a grin. "Well, it would be novel—"

"No, Lucifer."

"Boohoo, if I knew you were going to be such an uptight sport, I would've invited someone else." He replied to her with faux annoyance, before shaking her violently and turning away. "Fine, let's get some clothes first. I'm sure the pervert watching us for the past few minutes won't mind supporting a pair of dimensionally stranded travelers."

Mazikeen sighed behind him, but he was already walking forward, marching towards the still red-faced man. The moment he got within earshot, he immediately called out.

"Why hello, dear. Can you tell me where we are?"

The man blinked confused eyes at the question, and Lucifer tilted his head once in amusement, before snapping his fingers in the man's face and drawing his attention once more. He had nearly forgotten how much his allure got to people regardless of gender. It was difficult to keep track of it while in Hell, but up here... it seemed just as strong and effective as always.

"What'd ya say?" The man stuttered in confusion, so Lucifer asked him the question once more in fewer words.

"Where are we?"

"Huh, oh, ah, yes. You're in Brockton Bay."

"Ahh," Lucifer called out, rolling the name off his tongue. Brockton Bay. He was hearing it for the first time, and yet, even as he heard Maze's footsteps behind him, as she walked up to the man and began sorting out clothing and accommodation, Lucifer was suddenly distracted by the sight of a woman flying in the air without wings.

His smile widened. This was going to be an interesting vacation, indeed.

Somewhere not too far away, Armsmaster was mid-conversation with a woman he had never met physically.

“Are you certain the stabilizers are holding?” Dragon asked through the video feed, her voice calm and soothing.

Armsmaster didn’t look away from his console as his fingers went to work. “Yes. The adjustments from the last iteration solved the drift issue, but—”

His next words were cut off by a faint but annoying whine that cut through the hum of his workshop nonetheless. Armsmaster frowned behind his half-visor as his head turned, searching for the source of the sudden noise. The whine continued, high-pitched, and filtered through the helmet.

Dragon’s eyes went searching as well. “What was that?”

It took him a few extra seconds before he found it, and Armsmaster turned slightly, already reaching for a diagnostic readout. Tool in hand, he pushed off the workstation he had been at and took the short walk to an unfamiliar small handheld-looking device. Tinkertech, clearly, but none of his.

He waved the diagnostic tool and let out a grunt at the return message it gave him. “It’s one of the devices recovered from Leet the last time we clashed. A dimension-sensing module, judging by what the diagnostics machine says, but an unstable one.”

He dropped the diagnostic tool and picked up the small handheld device. It almost looked like a phone, multiple wires snaking around it aside. Armsmaster glanced at the screen as it flickered. There was a line of data that finally resolved into a beeping red dot not too far in the distance, but before Armsmaster could triangulate it, it suddenly shut off with a last whine.

“…It’s off again,” he said after a moment as he discarded the machine.

Dragon was silent for half a beat. “Off?”

“Yes,” he confirmed, already dismissing it. “It does that. Intermittent activation. Probably residual power bleed or faulty firmware recursion,” he explained as he turned back to his worktable, annoyed by the wasted seconds.

“I understand. Hopefully, it’s not something dangerous,” Dragon replied, and he chuckled.

“It’s Leet.”

Dragon laughed at his response as they once more focused on tuning his bike, ignorant of what the machine had tried to inform them was walking between.

A/N: Okay, watched a bit of Lucifer with my sister over the past week while I was incapacitated, and this was born somewhere in my Noggin. This is an attempt, an experiment in trying to write porn basically. There would be plor offcourse. Curious to see how it goes. Snippet for now. Let me see what you guys think.

Oh, and if it wasn't obvious, this is Netflix Lucifer.
