Hello everyone! It’s been a while since the last devlog. This update took much longer than I expected, but I’m finally ready to show it.
The swimming animations were much harder to make than I first thought, and I went through a lot of trial and error during development. On top of that, I kept adding more animations than originally planned, which also increased the development time. I’m sorry for the long wait, and thank you very much for your patience and support.
After finishing the Sharkin work, the next development focus will be “Okuros” (Octopus Girl).Okuros has already been in development alongside Sharkin, so progress has already been made. However, the in-game sprite work still needs more time.Because of that, the next devlog will first show Okuros’s H-scenes and gameplay systems, and the in-game sprites will be revealed afterward.
Now, for this devlog, I would like to show the in-game preview of the Sharkin! In underwater stages, the player can be afflicted with a “Curse” under certain conditions, leaving traces of that curse behind.
Sharkins are able to detect those traces and track the player down. Sharkins also do more than simply chase the player. They cooperate with each other by passing spears between themselves and attacking together.Unlike the other monsters, I wanted Sharkins to have their own unique combat style focused on teamwork and coordinated attacks.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the delay of this devlog, and thank you so much for waiting so patiently. I will do my best to bring the next devlog sooner.
And finally, the next patch will officially become the long-awaited Version 1.1 update. I can’t wait to show it to all of you!
Thank you.
