Back when I lived in Maui with the local boys
They called me kaikaina (little sister/brother)
I learned how to change a tire, descale a fish & punch
I rode my skateboard and hitch-hiked to get around
I lived on a diet of fresh fish and coconut tapioca and weed
That’s why I love to travel
To emerge into local
culture
