Hi everyone!

I usually never go back and change a finished piece buuuut King has always been on of my favorite pieces and it always bothered me that I could not share it freely, because of the nude aspect.

So I decided to go back and add a piece of clothing, It needed to be something I still felt went along with the piece and did not feel off. I am happy with how the dress ended up looking and think it even adds to the whole piece.

But then of course I thought some things could use a bit of an adjustment and I wanted to share with you the details I thought could be improved:

1. I darkened the backside of the crown, I think this way it gives it more depth and looks better.

2. I enhanced some highlights on the face, on the tip of the nose and overall center of the face, I also made the eye balls a touch lighter, I felt it made the eyes stand out more.

3. I moved the necklace to be higher, this was specially needed for the dress edition so that it left a bit more bare space on the chest region and created a better silhouette.

4. I made the background fog color to be a bit more cyan and a touch lighter, when I first worked on King was against that but now felt like it actually looked nicer and enhanced the warm red colors.

5. I made the end of the hair on the bottom part to be less tight and a bit more frizzy, I felt that worked better and looked more dynamic.

6. I fixed the background because honestly it could use a bit more structure to it.

7. I moved the character to be more centered, still because of the pose it will never be 100% centered but definitely should be moved more to the right side and I think it looks more balanced now in terms of composition.

Overall with most of my pieces I never feel like coming back and work on it again but this one was special to me and I am happy with how the new version looks. I hope this can be useful for any of you.

Cheers!

Fer
