Hello all - quick update on where we currently stand.
Scene F is going well. I have three characters left to focus on. One of the characters has their section done for part two of "F", but I'm still working on their section of the first part. I now have a great handle on what I need out of these characters, and putting in the time to give the motion a little more oomph seems to be serving the jokes well. Even if this episode falls flat, there are some jokes in here that I really like that'll make everything worth it.
I now have a rapport going with the new animator I've hired for the major character in Scene F. I've laid out all the specific instructions for what I need, and their part is now in motion. Things seem to be going smoothly on that end.
Two musicians are working in tandem on the final bit of Scene F. They've already gotten the first drafts and are working on the second. This was planned to be the final musical score for them, but after further review, I've decided to have at least one of them do some work on Scene G afterword, which will be their last contribution. I'm bringing in a third musician for one final bit of score, but this will be handled more in depth after the final bit of Scene F is finished.
Based on what is happening now, I anticipate April being the final month of working on character animation for me. I'd previously planned on passing everything to my sound guy before the character animation was complete, but I've realized there's just too much that's going to get changed, and I need to finish it completely. After character animation, and while sound is happening, I'll work on the visual effects and rendering. I don't want to jinx anything, but I'll probably be able to get a release estimate after character animation is 100%. If anything will delay this, it'll be complications with character animation. Once we clear this hill, it'll be one final push to releasing, and I'm looking forward to that.
