Episode 10 Update - 06/22/21
DESCRIPTION

Alright, we're in excellent shape now.

Doing the animation of this final character has been a real doozy.  Looking back now, I'm not sure if giving it to someone else on it would have gone all that well.  I've changed a lot about the motion from some of my original ideas, and I've had to re-work a huge amount of the animation of the other characters that this character was interacting with.  It's been a very long road, but I think the animation of this character is "finished".  I put that in quotes, because there are a bunch of details I still need to sort out, mainly a lot of overlapping action and some clipping corrections.  Last night, I did a render of the entirety of Scene F, and now I'm going through and writing down everything that needs correcting.  I have found a few things so far.  The goal right now is to get everything in shape to where I can pass it over to both the Snow FX guy and my sound guy - basically have all the major details sorted out so that someone else can take on the smaller ones.  How fast this episode can get finished will potentially hang on how long my Snow guy and my Sound guy are going to take, so I'm trying to get the final draft to them ASAP.

My snow guy is also my water guy.  He's been working on all water for all scenes, and it seems to be a slight step up from how I've handled water in the series thus far.  He turned a first draft in to me last Thursday, and I expect the next one to be final, given how specific my instructions were.  As soon as he's done, I want him on the snow for Scene F right away, so I have until he turns in to finish my bit.

I have another freelancer doing set work.  He has completely finished all the work for Scene D, and it looks almost exactly like it did in my head.  I love it.  He just sent me a draft of Scene G, and it actually looks finished.  I'm going to be doing a test render tonight to be sure.  After that's finished, there are three set assignments left before everything required for the episode can be considered 100% complete.  I'll be moving on to one of them personally as soon as I cap off F.

I definitely need to re-watch this render of F a good amount of times.  It's a huge, 14000 frame scene in total and I'm striving to get every detail on it right.  It appears that all the major animation work is now officially behind me and it's time to parse out the details.
