You hardly feel the sharp tendril piercing the back of your neck when they take you for conditioning. Merely a sharp scratch before it deepens into your brain stem.
But what you absolutely will end up feeling is a rush of endorphins as your mind is disconnecting from your body. Gradually more and more of you goes numb.
Your eyes wash over in shiny blackness.
Your mind starts to feel huge, like it's a part of one big hive.
Memories and feelings, changing, erasing and or being created, especially of the creatures.
They're here to make everything better, right?
You would no longer be able to deny or doubt it. They'd make sure you were 100% conditioned.
How many of your friends or family have already been conditioned? You wouldn't really know.
Once the process is over, you'd be back at home, maybe sat on the sofa, or laying in bed where you thought you once were.
Isn't the world better this way? Everyone getting along, no fighting, no wars.
The whole world conditioned to live peacefully, to prosper and to accept their new alien Bane overlords.
