I'm sorry to send out a message and maybe get some people excited about a new chapter, but it looks like someone has started impersonating me and posting comments with a fake "Sleyca Author" account, including a link to supposed free merch. I see that they've tried to catch the attention of at least a couple of free members who've commented on old chapters as well, so I want to make sure that this warning is reaching everyone who might have been affected. I've contacted Patreon, and I'm trying to make sure the person is banned right now. In the past day, I have not replied to anyone's old comments with links for anything. There is no t-shirt or "mystery box" or whatever else they might have promised. I'll make an official post like this one that goes out to all of you if I'm ever doing something like that, not reach out to specific individuals via the comments section. I'm very sorry to anyone who was tricked or disappointed. If you gave any of your important details to the scammer, please be aware that this was not me and take steps to protect yourself. As for good Super Supportive news, the next free chapter will be posted here and on Royal Road on the 10th, as scheduled. But as a tiny apology for pinging all of you, I'm going to go ahead and make that chapter available here for you to read a few days early. (But then you won't get to read it fresh on the 10th, so it's a mixed bag. Choose what suits your week best!) I haven't done the final pass I usually do of chapters these days before they transition from Patreon to Royal Road on it because I'm currently working on tonight's chapter for the patrons, but honestly, those edits usually just smooth and clarify in minor ways.
