My take one of the classics currently in the public domain. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has inspired me for a long time. From the original novel to the various interpretations in media, especially American Mcgee's.
Upon rereading the novel, Alice was more posh and smart than I remembered; like she's older than what is shown in the books. Hence her looks on my illustration. Cheshire was a bit straightforward. I just literally wanted to draw a fat and realistic cat that grins. I must say, the details on the table are quite random cus' it would take forever if I made everything reference to the books, which was the initial plan :'(
This illustration serves as a fun personal project which was making a cover for my copy of the book. I will also add this to my book cover portfolio. Overall, this might be one of 2025's hardest piece.
