Live Mode just got a major rework
DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone — quick update on what just shipped.

The on/off Live Mode toggle that's been around forever has been replaced with a three-way control: Predicted, Combined, and Live.

- Predicted — what the map has always been: static spawn from the game.

- Live — only what the companion app is reading from memory right now. Permanent landmarks stay visible; dynamic predictions are hidden. Pure "what's actually here."

- Combined — both layered. Predicted spawns render faded; live-confirmed spawns render in full color. You see everything that could be there, with clear visual distinction for what is there.

Combined mode is Elite-exclusive (for now)

If you're an Elite supporter, you have access to Combined mode out of the box.

I'm shipping this as a Preview Access feature because I want your feedback before opening it up wider. The visual treatment (35% faded predictions, full-color confirmations), the placement, the behavior when you're not near anything live — all of it is up for adjustment based on what you tell me works and what doesn't.

Please tell me what you think. Hit me up in the Discord — even a one-liner about whether the faded markers are too subtle, too distracting, helpful, or annoying.

Performance fix for app users

The overall rendering performance in the apps should be improved during player movement and panning the map.

Avowed and Hogwarts Legacy Overwolf apps are being deprecated

Both games are still fully supported in the THGL Companion App. If you've been using the Overwolf overlay for either game, the Companion App is the upgrade.

Smaller things in this release

- Filter search — the filter sidebar now has its own search input. Type "iron" and it narrows the visible filters instantly. Big improvement for games with hundreds of filter categories.

- F5 cycles through the three live modes (was a simple on/off toggle before).

- Off-screen dialogs in small overlay windows are now properly clamped to the viewport.

Thanks for keeping this project going. Looking forward to your feedback.
