I've been working on Elizabeth, like many other characters, especially revitalizing their skin. Was a bit too yellow, coarse, bumpy, inhuman.... So I reworked it thoroughly while keeping her look safe, making new maps for proper subsurface scattering. Experimenting a bit with hair too, since her hair doesn't have to be singularly styled forever.
Wrinkles on soles, all sorts of goodness.
Why I work in the "void"
It removes any and all external factors such as light pollution, light temperature variations and generally anything that could create a false sense of "true self". All lights are locked at a temperature of 6500 K which is nominal white, below is too warm (orange) and above is too cold (blue).
Example of how it goes wrong, back when CP2077 released, they had a character editor which had funky lighting and people corrected for funky lighting in the skin and were surprised their character looked dogshit out in the world.
