This is one of the surprises I mentioned I'll have for you.
OGs will recall that I promised to put in a game within a game, a police-based, detective thingie where you take on cases involving the characters you know and love from Bindr.
Basically, like a very elaborate Bindr bed fantasy with persistence. As I put hours into it on the side, it kind of blossomed into its own thing.
I have a lot to assemble so it'll take some time to evolve, it's a side project. Bindr still takes 95% of my time. But there will be a big date worth of content in the prologue.
What does Exigent even mean?
Based on "exigent circumstances"... An emergency situation requiring swift action to prevent imminent danger to life or serious damage to property, or to forestall the imminent escape of a suspect, or destruction of evidence.
Felt like an apt name for it given the theme.
In clear terms, what is Exigent?
DISTRIBUTED AS BONUS CONTENT WITH BINDR RELEASES
A persistent, spin-off "fantasy" where you play as a police detective MC, a more masculine, jacked version of the one you're used to in Bindr, using the Bindr "engine"
All the actresses are girls from Bindr, in various positions. Not to spoil too much, but Neha for example is a district attorney. She's a potential love interest, like any other.
Takes place in a different city.
Your primary situationship in the spin off is Soumya, with whom you have an encounter with in the prologue, which I will be sharing ASAP.
The prologue is already done, from early 2024, before my onset problems. I am just assembling it, this is not detracting from Bindr in any way
It's around 300-350 MB, a completely standalone "game" (really just a reskin of Bindr)
Stylized to be its own thing, with its own subtitle fonts, exposition style, UI (still mostly Bindr for now)
What after the small prologue taste?
That is up to you, once you have a bit of fun with Soumya in what is already done, we can:
Drop it and forget it, leaving it as a bit of fun side content.
Evolve it through voting where I make a progression of Exigent instead of a regular fantasy. It gets shared in the download links with Bindr as a separate download.
I evolve it in my free time, as a shield from burning out on Bindr, by shifting my perspective.
