In-game preview of Yeo-Bin, future region hopping ("passport bros") and this month's Platinum girl
0.1.4 is shaping up fine, and as I always say, if the AC doesn't croak, it's going to be great. The characters I don't put to a vote (such as Hong) are usually entrenched in a longer vision for the game. Like Elena last update, she's exclusive for patrons in 0.1.4 to thank you all for your invaluable support. Elena will trickle down to 0.1.4 Public because we met the funding goal with 0.1.3 so the game can keep growing, as promised. Hopefully, Hong continues that.
Hong Yeo-Bin is visiting from Seoul. This is intentional, it's setting the stage for one of the more fun aspects of dating / hook-up apps, travel. Common meme is also "passport bros".
Region hopping
So, one of my original plans for the game was to be able to use the wealth backstory to actually travel. There will be an entry in the tablet where you can go visit various places, first one will be Seoul. You'll appear in a different apartment, there will be a different local place (like a night club)... And of course, the girls available will adjust accordingly (Korean fiesta, in this case). Future regions will be decided by vote.
The reason it wasn't immediately available was primarily a question of rendering time, this will align with hardware changes. So somewhere in September or maybe even late August.
There is a Platinum girl in the works, too
Like everything, all girls trickle down and become part of the main game down the line. Given that the July Platinum girl will be available for all patrons eventually, she'll be the precursor for this region hopping mechanic by establishing that MC has access to a private jet.
There is a vote going on and she'll probably be out a day or two after the 0.1.4 release on July 22nd / 23rd, hence it can run for a little longer. Regardless of the ethnicity choice and design, the theme for her will be the "Mile High Club".
It will all eventually tie into the Region Hopping / Passport Bros update in the mainline game. Higher tiers are really helping push the hardware change sooner, so I don't have to limit scenes because of:
