The Sculpting Process
DESCRIPTION

I often get asked what sculpting software I use for 3d Modeling. I primarily use Nomad sculpt for the Ipad.

I've tried Blender and I'm not a fan. It's very complicated and I found Nomad to be much more user friendly. I've been using Nomad for about a year and a half now. I have barely scratched the surface of what you can do with this program.

I post a lot of process videos over on my socials. I do this for a couple reasons. One for the content, everyone loves to watch them and two, I want to show that I do not use AI in any of my 3d modeling process.

With the crazy rise of AI generated models in the 3d printing space, I've decided to start sharing some of my process videos over here as well.

I recently had a Patreon member who's customer reached out to them asking if they could alter a design of mine. The customer dropped an image of my model into Chat GPT and sent it back to the seller to show her what changes she wanted her to make. Obviously she politely declined and told the customer that it wasn't something she could do. But it honestly made me sick to my stomach. That particular model took months to make. And now that data is in Chat GPT for anyone to just generate at will. I know there is no stopping it, but it doesn't make it suck any less.

3d modeling can be hard, but it can also be so rewarding. While chat GPT and AI mesh generators can spit out a 3d design in a hot ass second, I want no part in it. I'll put in the work.

I've had some requests for some tutorials. While I don't feel experienced enough to make full on teaching videos, I'm game to share small how to videos on the basics. Let me know if this is something anyone would be interested in. I would post them as free access to all members. Let me know. :)

Here is a process video of my latest release. This one took me a little over a week. I worked on it every night.
