I love being a 3D designer 99 percent of the time. The rest of that time, I want to scream and throw in the towel. Yesterday was one of those 1 percent days, so I decided to channel that frustration into something positive.
Last month I sculpted the Pierced apple book insert and desk decor. Today I am releasing a box that is compatible with the insert version, for those of you who are wanting a more traditional styled book nook.
The box has a small notch in it to guide you where to glue your hands into place. The blood inserts just glue into the top and the bottom of the box.
This book nook is fully sculpted by me. I've shared my sculpting video of the apple and hands on a previous post. Here is the sped up scuplting video of the box and blood inserts.
While this box is compatible with the previous release, I still added the hands, nails and apple to this project file so it's all in one place for you.
Printer Setting...
Standard .20 layer height
10 % Gryoid Infill
Nails - I upped the walls to 3 and added a brim for adhesion and durability
Slim Tree Supports - These are minimal. Just a little on the blood and hands
Colors Used - Silk Silver, Dual Red/Black for the blood, Silk red for the apple, Kingaroon skin for the hands, Matte black for the box.
My Creative Process
I design all of my models from scratch. I mostly use Nomad Sculpt and occasionally Tinkercad for simple things. I do not use Generative AI in any of my design process. Check out my socials and other posts on here for sculpt and process videos. π
