This year's May Miniseries starts now! Introducing CATEGORY IS...! All May, we'll be discussing Oscar categories new, dead, coming soon, and a suggestion or two. For the Exception this month, we are finally doing a long-promised favorite (The American President) and taking a deep dive into Oscar's score categories. The film earned an Original Score category in the 90s era when there were music categories for Drama and Musical/Comedy, so it's a perfect fit for a typical Exception episode AND this May format.
