Dev Update - 07/22/2026 + Free Release
Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well!
First of all, I'd like to apologize for being a bit quieter than usual over the past week and a half. On my doctor's advice, I took some time away from everything to recharge and reset. It was something I needed, and I'm feeling much better because of it.
Development on the Chapter III Rework is now officially underway, and my god... this one's going to be a big one.
There will be a ton of new content, major improvements to existing scenes, and many more choices throughout the chapter. A few characters you all know and love will also be making their appearance a little earlier than they originally did, which I think helps the overall pacing of the story.
I've also decided to push the Steam Demo back slightly until the Chapter III Rework is complete. I believe the ending of Chapter III provides a much stronger stopping point for new players, and I want the demo to leave the best possible first impression. My goal is to have it released sometime in August.
For those of you who want to replay the game up to the end of Chapter II, I have some good news...
You can now play it for free!
The animator got back to me a few days ago, and I was able to implement 15 new animations into the final scene with Alice. I also made several improvements to the flow of that scene based on your feedback, so even returning players should notice a much smoother experience.
