So! Voronica is over (long live Voronica), but what now?
Well, to start, let me ask you a question... who's seen the show 'Wilfred'? It's a 2010's era Australian show about a man who moves in with his girlfriend and her (jealous) dog... who just happens to be a man in an unconvincing costume. No one but him is cognisant or perturbed by this fact. (There was also an American version staring Ellijah Wood - reportedly just as good, but not nearly as dark - I haven't seen it).
Anyway! The other day I had a similar brainwave to the one that led me to making a series of games about a giant rabbit girl eating tiny humans "Lol, wouldn't it be weird if someone made an Adult version of Wilfred..." Well, I am 'Heedless' so that someone shall be me! Therefore, it's my pleasure to introduce...
Naughty Doug
Chuck has bought a… Doug. Unleashed on a house full of beautiful women, see how far you can push the boundaries! But don't make Chuck too suspicious... because he will cut off your goddamned balls.
Naughty Doug is an Adult life-sim where you play as the newest resident of a house full of beautiful women and one increasingly uncomfortable Chuck. Every day is a loop of exploring rooms, choosing who to hang out with, and picking activities that shift three core stats for each person: how much they like you, how comfortable they are with you, and how suspicious they are of what you’re up to.
Other residents move around the house on their own schedules, and any actions you take in one room might be overheard from another. If someone’s suspicion gets too high, they may walk in at the worst possible time! On the other hand, if you build trust and familiarity, they’ll let you get away with much more... shockingly more.
Disclaimers: No vore. Well, not like no no vore. I said "no vore" about my other game "Too Lewd" as well, and while that certainly has less vore than my average, it's still quite a good deal more than your typical AVN. So, um, no vore focus.
Also, no NTR. The lovely lass on the cover image above is Chuck's daughter, not his partner.
Demo
Everyone can play the demo right now here. I will make a more advanced build available for subscribers in a separate post.
Going forward
Now, there are going to be some changes to how I do things. Number one, I am not planning on selling the game on Itch. As many of you will know, there was a recent purge of Adult games across the internet, and one of the consequences was NSFW content getting de-indexed on Itch. Additionally, myself and many others lost Stripe service on the site. As a consequence, my business on Itch has slowed to a trickle. It isn't really worth my time to sell my games there anymore and, to be frank, they've pissed me off. So outside of the demo 'Naughty Doug' will be available exclusively on Patreon until the full version is ready and I release it on Steam (I actually have a fairly tight vision for this, so barring scope creep I'm planning for that to be April 2026).
Also, I'm not going to be doing monthly releases. Those are certainly good for keeping me on track. But they push me towards putting everything together on a scene by scene basis rather than taking a more... inclusive approach to development which I don't think is serving me creatively. I'll still be working just as hard, and you should expect just as much content, but releases will be when I judge new content to be worth releasing rather than sticking to dates. I know that visual novel devs are notorious for unreliable update schedules, but I hope that on this at least I've proven you can trust me.
